ANNUAL DAY

The Annual Festival of MMHSS, the 8th Annual Day was celebrated on 27th February, 2010. The festivity began with a warm reception given by the students to the guests, the dignitaries, the well wishers and parents. After invoking God’s blessings through a beautiful prayer dance; there was joy and fulfillment in the air. By singing the song “Here I am” as the welcome song, the Montfort Melody Makers expressed their sense of belonging to the school.

The chief guest Mrs. Jennifer Arul, Editorial Advisor, NDTV Hindu and the special guest Mr. Suresh Kumar, the Assistant Editor (Education), The Times of India were introduced and honoured on stage. The guests gave away the general proficiency awards and awards for other achievements for the academic year 2009 – 2010.

After the prize distribution ceremony, the cultural programme continued. It consisted of three meaningful plays, displays of two classical poems, a touching group song, a funny duet and four dances including the finale and the school dance.The Annual Report for the academic year 2009 – 2010 was given by the students with the help of a PowerPoint Presentation.

They listed the various activities held in school that were instrumental in bringing about holistic development.

The entire programme was a value based programme, fully organized and orchestrated by the children themselves.
